On December 12, 2025, Temir Sariyev—President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chairman of the board of the SCO Business Council for 2026, and former Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Minister of Finance of Kyrgyzstan—led a delegation to the headquarters of GLA Global Logistics Alliance in Shenzhen. Representatives from the Shenzhen Luohu District Bureau of Commerce attended the meeting. Both sides explored cooperation opportunities in logistics, trade, technology and sustainable development between China and Kyrgyzstan.

At the start of the meeting, Mr. Sariyev warmly recalled his first discussion with GLA President Grace Sun during the 2023 Belt and Road Forum in Beijing. He expressed strong interest in welcoming Ms. Grace Sun to Kyrgyzstan for a business visit to explore the rapidly expanding Central Asian market.
Mr. Sariyev highlighted the steady and friendly China–Kyrgyzstan relations, which have driven bilateral trade to grow by 15–20 percent annually. He emphasized the strategic significance of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway, now under accelerated development with strong support from China. Expected to be completed within 3.5 years, the corridor is poised to become the fastest land route connecting China and Europe, bringing major benefits to the global logistics and supply chain sector. He noted that GLA’s global platform can help more leading Chinese and international logistics enterprises tap into the vast potential of Central Asia.

During his visit to Shenzhen, Mr. Sariyev also inspected high-tech sectors including artificial intelligence, advanced healthcare and green energy. He introduced Kyrgyzstan’s tax-free policies for enterprises, noting that more than 2,500 Chinese companies have already established operations in the country, including two major logistics transit centers.

Mr. Sariyev further shared plans for Kyrgyzstan’s major international events in 2026: a green and sustainable economy program and a high-level women’s leadership conference involving over 300 delegates from 10 SCO member states. These initiatives strongly align with GLA’s core values of diversity, professionalism, collaboration, responsibility and sustainability. He praised GLA’s ESG contributions, including the GLA Foundation, the “Go Green with GLA” program, and the launch of the W.I.L.L (Women in Logistics Leadership) Club in 2025.
Representatives from the Luohu District Bureau of Commerce welcomed the delegation and emphasized the district’s strong industrial base and complementary strengths with Kyrgyzstan in logistics, AI, construction, tourism and green energy.
Both sides reached preliminary consensus on cooperation in logistics connectivity, business facilitation, technological innovation and women’s leadership development. They agreed that Central Asia will enter a critical window of opportunity in the future, and that GLA—through its global network and industry influence—will serve as an important bridge for Chinese and global logistics enterprises expanding into Central Asia and beyond.

At the conclusion of the meeting, GLA President Ms. Grace Sun invited Mr. Sariyev to attend the 14th GLA Global Logistics Conference and GLA’s 10th Anniversary Celebration in Shenzhen. Mr. Sariyev conveyed his sincere appreciation and expressed his strong confidence in the future of bilateral cooperation and the role GLA will continue to play in advancing global logistics connectivity.
